Are any doctors at the office accepting patients?
We currently do not have any doctors accepting new patients.
How do I contact the clinic?
In general queries all bookings should be addressed via our website kensingtonmedicalclinic.com. If you need any further assistance, you may email our clinic at kensingtonmedicalclinic@gmail.com. For patient with a family doctor in the clinic, urgent after-hours medical questions can be asked by calling 604-299-9769.
Do you give advice over phone or email?
We are unable to provide any advice over email for phone – you can book an appointment with one of our doctors to review your concerns or you may contact 811 the nurses line.
Do I need to book an appointment to see the doctor?
We no longer have a walk-in service. Any patients needing to be seen will have to book an appointment via our website. All appointments types available can be booked via our website.
Can I book an appointment for my child with a pediatrician?
As pediatricians are specialists, they require a referral. You would first need to see your family doctor or a walk-in clinic to disucss a referral. Referrals can be faxed to our clinic at 604-299-9772.
Will you call me with my results?
Patients are responsible for following up with the doctor for all test results. If your result is abnormal, we will make every effort to get a hold of you, however you are encouraged to follow up with the doctor if symptoms persist and/or worsen.
Can I get Travel shots or Travel Medicine at our clinic?
We do not provide travel consultation or medications. Please contact a local travel clinic to have this completed.
As an unattached patient – can I book with a specific doctor?
Appointments for unattached patients are with the next available doctor. You are unable to book with a specific doctor.
What services are not covered by MSP?
The following services are not examples of services not covered under MSP:
- Work forms – Functional abilities/attending physicians $90
- School enrollment / physicals / Drivers medical $225
- Work Physicals $225
- Sick Notes $30
- Written Letter $40
- Rapid Strep Tests
What is the charge for a private patient who is seen at the clinic?
The following are our fees for visits:
- Out of Province (ie another province health card) $90
- Out of Country (ie no health card) $225
Does my child need to be present to discuss their medical care?
Yes, in order for the doctor to discuss care of any patient, it is necessary for the patient to be present.
Can I get my Allergy Injection at this clinic?
We do not provide Allergy injections. Please contact your allergist/prescribing doctor to schedule the shots.
